To cancel your EFAQ membership, log in at efaq.com/app/account and use the cancellation prompt in your account settings, email support@efaq.com, or submit the contact form on the EFAQ website. The account settings route is the fastest because it takes effect immediately and doesn’t depend on a support reply. Cancel before your next billing date to avoid another charge.1eFAQ. How Do I Cancel?
The Three Direct Cancellation Methods
EFAQ lists three ways to end your subscription with the company directly:
- Sign in to your account, open your account settings, and follow the cancellation prompts. You’ll get immediate confirmation.
- Email support@efaq.com and say you want to cancel. EFAQ says replies typically arrive within one business day.
- Fill out the contact form on the EFAQ site. This doesn’t require a login, which helps if you’ve lost access to your account.
Have your account email and any membership details ready so the request can be matched to the right account.1eFAQ. How Do I Cancel?
If You Subscribed Through Google Play or the App Store
Canceling on efaq.com will not stop charges that run through Google Play or Apple’s App Store. Those subscriptions are billed and controlled by the store, so you have to cancel in the store where you signed up. Deleting the EFAQ app from your phone does not cancel the subscription.
On Android, open the Google Play app, go to your subscriptions, select EFAQ, and tap “Cancel subscription.” You keep access through the end of the period you’ve already paid for. If EFAQ isn’t listed, confirm you’re signed into the same Google account you used to subscribe.2Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play
On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings, tap your Apple ID, then Subscriptions, then EFAQ, and choose Cancel Subscription. On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name, then Account Settings, then Manage next to Subscriptions. Sign in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe.3Apple Support. Whether You Can Get a Refund
EFAQ does not offer pro-rated refunds. If you cancel mid-cycle, you lose whatever paid time remains. You can ask for a refund of your most recent payment, but earlier payments aren’t eligible, and refunds are granted at EFAQ’s discretion. The company reserves the right to refuse requests it treats as abusive or fraudulent.4eFAQ. Refund Policy
The policy sets no deadline for asking, so request the refund as soon as you see the charge. If EFAQ refuses and you believe the charge was unauthorized, your bank or card issuer is the next step.
If Charges Keep Coming After You Cancel
Check your statements for at least 60 days after the cancellation date. Federal law ties your liability for unauthorized charges to how quickly you report them.
For debit card or bank account charges, the Electronic Fund Transfer Act and Regulation E give you 60 days from the statement to report an unauthorized transfer. Report within that window and you avoid liability for further unauthorized transfers; miss it and you can be held responsible for transfers that occur after the 60 days until you finally notify the bank.5Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 12 CFR 1005.6 – Liability of Consumer for Unauthorized Transfers
For credit card charges, the Fair Credit Billing Act gives you the same 60-day window to send written notice to your issuer. The notice must identify you, the disputed charge, and why you think it’s wrong. The issuer has to acknowledge within 30 days and resolve the dispute within two billing cycles.6Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors
One practical warning before you file a chargeback: some merchants block future transactions from customers who dispute charges. If you might use EFAQ again, try support first.
Deleting Your Data After You Cancel
Canceling stops billing but doesn’t erase your account. EFAQ’s privacy policy says the company shares personal information with advertisers, social media sites, and advertising networks, and it doesn’t distinguish between active and inactive accounts.7eFAQ. Privacy Policy
To have your data deleted, file a GDPR deletion request from your user dashboard where that option is available, or email support with the subject line “DATA DELETION REQUEST.” Once deleted, you can’t log back in or view past report history. EFAQ retains purchase records regardless, citing legal requirements.8eFAQ. Can I Delete My Account?
What the Law Requires of EFAQ
The FTC’s Click-to-Cancel rule, finalized in late 2024 under 16 CFR Part 425, requires subscription sellers to make canceling at least as easy as signing up. If you enrolled online, you must be able to cancel online in no more steps than enrollment took, and charges must stop once you cancel. A claim that cancellation takes “one full billing cycle” doesn’t match what the rule requires.9Federal Trade Commission.
