How to Cancel Your FuboTV Subscription: Billing, Steps, and Refunds

To cancel your Fubo subscription, go to the platform that bills you: cancel inside your account at fubo.tv if you signed up directly through Fubo, or cancel through Apple, Roku, Google Play, or Amazon if you signed up through one of them. Fubo does not prorate refunds, so your access continues until the end of the billing period you already paid for.

Check Who Bills You First

Canceling in the wrong place won’t stop the charges. Before anything else, find out which company actually takes your money each month.

The quickest check is to sign in at fubo.tv/subscription. That page names your billing provider. If it says Fubo, cancel on the Fubo site. If it says Roku, Apple, Google, or Amazon, you have to cancel through that company’s subscription manager.

You can also look at your bank or credit card statement. A charge labeled “Apple.com/bill” or “ROKU” tells you who to go to. Match the billing source to the right set of steps below.

Canceling Directly Through Fubo

If Fubo bills you, the cancellation lives in your account settings.

  • Sign in at fubo.tv with your email and password.
  • Pick any profile on the “Who’s Watching?” screen.
  • Click the settings icon and choose “My Account.”
  • Open the Subscription section.
  • Scroll to the bottom and select “Cancel.”
  • You’ll see a retention offer. To leave, skip it and click “Cancel Subscription.”
  • Click “OK” on the confirmation screen.

The retention screen is where people get caught. If you click “Redeem Offer,” your subscription stays active at a discount. The cancellation only completes when you click “Cancel Subscription” on that screen. If you’re unsure whether it went through, return to the Subscription page and look for a cancellation date on your status.

Canceling Through a Third-Party Platform

When you signed up through Apple, Roku, Google Play, or Amazon, Fubo can’t cancel the subscription for you. The billing relationship belongs to the platform, and the cancellation has to happen there.

Apple

On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap “Subscriptions.” Find Fubo in the list, tap it, and tap “Cancel Subscription.” If there’s no cancel button and a red expiration message appears instead, the subscription is already canceled.

Roku

From the device, press Home, highlight the Fubo channel tile, and press the Star (*) button on your remote. Choose “Manage subscription,” then “Turn off auto-renew.” If “Manage subscription” doesn’t appear, Roku isn’t the biller.

From a browser, sign in at my.roku.com/subscriptions, find Fubo under Active Subscriptions, click “Manage Subscription,” and choose “Turn off auto-renew.”

Google Play

On your Android device, open the Google Play Store and go to your subscriptions. Select Fubo, tap “Cancel subscription,” and follow the prompts.

Amazon

If you subscribed through Amazon, which is common on Fire TV devices, go to amazon.com, open “Manage Your Subscriptions” under your account menu, find Fubo, select “Unsubscribe,” and confirm.

What Happens After You Cancel

Access doesn’t shut off right away. You keep watching through the end of the billing period you already paid for. Cancel on the 3rd when your billing date is the 15th, and you still have service through the 15th. Your status flips from active to canceled, auto-renewal stops, and no further charges should post unless you reactivate yourself.

Fubo does not refund partial or prepaid months. You get the full billing cycle you paid for and nothing back for the unused days.

Your Cloud DVR recordings don’t disappear the moment service ends. If you reactivate reasonably soon, your settings, favorite channels, shows, and recordings come back with the account. Cloud DVR recordings do expire automatically after nine months regardless of account status, so the window isn’t open forever.

Check your next bank or credit card statement to confirm no new Fubo charge shows up. That’s the real proof the cancellation stuck. If a charge posts after you canceled, the confirmation email you received is useful evidence for a billing dispute with your bank.

Fubo Does Not Let You Pause

If you were hoping to take a break instead of fully canceling, Fubo doesn’t offer that. There is no pause or suspend option. Your only choice is to cancel and reactivate later when you want service back.

Reactivating Later

Changing your mind is easy, and the exact path depends on timing.

If your cancellation is scheduled but the billing period hasn’t ended yet, sign in at fubo.tv/account, open “Subscription & Billing,” and click “Reactivate” on the reminder banner at the top. Your plan resumes with your add-ons and settings intact.

If your subscription has already fully ended, sign in at fubo.tv with your old email and password. A “Welcome Back” page lets you review your previous plan and click “Reactivate Subscription.” You can switch plans or update your payment method at that point. Any add-ons you previously had will be preselected, and you can remove them before confirming.

Your Rights If Canceling Is Made Difficult

The FTC finalized its “Click-to-Cancel” rule in late 2024, with most provisions taking effect in 2025. The rule requires that canceling a subscription be as easy as signing up. If you subscribed online, the company has to let you cancel online through a simple mechanism. Forcing you to call a phone number or wade through a chatbot when signup took a few clicks violates the rule.

The rule also requires companies to clearly disclose charges, renewal terms, and cancellation methods before taking your payment information, and to get your informed consent separately from other terms. Retention screens engineered to wear you down are the kind of behavior the rule targets. If your cancellation experience doesn’t match the simplicity of signup, you can file a complaint with the FTC at ftc.gov.
