How to Cancel Your Grok by xAI Free Trial Subscription

To cancel your Grok xAI free trial, go to the same place you signed up: grok.com or x.com if you subscribed on the web, your iPhone’s Settings app if you used the App Store, or the Google Play Store if you’re on Android. Most SuperGrok free trials last only three days, so the cancellation needs to happen inside that window to avoid a charge. You keep access until the trial’s end date either way.

Figure Out Where You Signed Up

Canceling the wrong subscription, or hunting in the wrong app, burns time you don’t have on a three-day trial. Check your sign-up confirmation email or your card statement first. A charge labeled “xAI” or “Grok” means you subscribed through grok.com. “X Premium” means the subscription runs through X, and depending on how you signed up, the actual billing could still be handled by Apple or Google.

If you signed up on a phone and can’t remember, open your Apple or Google subscription list before anything else. App store billing is the most common path for mobile sign-ups, and it’s also the only place you can cancel those subscriptions.

Cancel on Grok.com or X.com

For a SuperGrok subscription bought directly on grok.com, log in with the X or Google account you used to sign up and open the Plans section. Your current subscription and billing cycle appear there, along with a cancellation option. Follow the prompts and watch for a confirmation screen or email.

For X Premium bought on x.com, click “More” in the left sidebar, then “Settings and Support,” then “Settings and privacy.” Open “Subscriptions” and click “Cancel Subscription.” The site may redirect you to a payment portal (often Stripe) showing your billing history and a final cancellation button. Confirm when the pop-up appears.

Cancel on iPhone

If you signed up through the App Store, the cancellation lives in your device settings, not inside the X or Grok app.1Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple

  • Confirm in the pop-up.

Apple labels the button “Cancel Subscription” whether you’re in a free trial or a paid period.

Cancel on Android

On Android, open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture in the top right, then select “Payments & subscriptions” and “Subscriptions.” Find the X or Grok entry, tap it, and select “Cancel subscription.” Google may ask you to pick a reason. Confirm It Actually Canceled

Clicking the button isn’t the same as being canceled. Look for a confirmation screen and a confirmation email at the address tied to your account. Your subscription entry should switch from showing a next billing date to showing an expiration date. On Apple, the subscription displays when access ends; on Google Play, a “Canceled” label appears next to it.

Access to paid features continues until the trial or billing period runs out, so don’t be alarmed that Grok still works. Take a screenshot of the confirmation, especially if you’re canceling near the deadline. If a charge posts anyway, that screenshot is your evidence.

Timing and Reminders

The standard SuperGrok free trial runs three days. Some promotional offers extend to seven, but don’t assume that applies to you unless the sign-up screen said so. If you’re only testing the service, the safest move is to cancel right after signing up; access continues through the trial regardless.

Apple and Google do send renewal reminders before a trial converts, but the lead time can be short. Set your own calendar reminder for the day before the trial ends rather than relying on the platform to prompt you.
