Check Where You’re Being Billed
Look at your bank or credit card statement before anything else. A charge labeled “Headway” means you subscribed directly through the Headway website.2Headway. Unexpected Fees and Charges “Apple.com/bill” means you signed up on an iPhone or iPad. “Google” as the merchant means you subscribed through the Google Play Store.
You can only cancel through the platform that bills you. The Headway website cannot cancel an Apple subscription, and Apple cannot cancel a Google one. Cancel on the Headway Website
Go to headway-product.com/sign-in and log in with your app password.4Headway. How to Cancel My Subscription If you’ve forgotten it, reset the password through the app first. Once you’re in, find the Cancel Subscription button and confirm.

Cancel Through the Apple App Store

- Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Find and tap Headway.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. If there’s no Cancel button and you see an expiration date in red, the subscription is already canceled.
You can also reach the same screen through the App Store app by tapping your profile icon and selecting Subscriptions.
Cancel Through Google Play

- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Headway.
- Tap Cancel subscription and confirm.
Google shows the exact date your current period ends once you open the subscription, so you can confirm you’re inside the 24-hour window.
Free Trials Have the Same Deadline
If you’re on a Headway free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends or you’ll be charged for the plan you selected at sign-up.3Headway App. Subscription Terms The cancellation steps are the same as above — use the platform you started the trial on. If your renewal is tomorrow morning, tonight may already be too late.
Deleting the App Does Not Cancel It
Removing Headway from your phone does nothing to stop charges. The subscription terms say so directly: “deleting the app does not cancel your subscriptions.”3Headway App. Subscription Terms
If you deleted the app a while back and are only now noticing charges, you can still cancel without reinstalling. Apple subscriptions remain accessible in Settings after the app is gone. Google Play subscriptions still appear in Payments & subscriptions whether or not Headway is installed.
Getting a Refund if You Were Charged
If a charge hit after you thought you’d canceled, or you missed a trial deadline, a refund is possible but not guaranteed, and the process depends on who billed you.
Website Charges
Headway handles website refunds case by case, at its discretion and subject to applicable laws.7Headway. How to Get a Refund There’s no automatic money-back guarantee, so contact support quickly after the charge.
Apple Charges
Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, choose Request a refund, pick a reason, select the Headway charge, and submit.8Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple Apple typically responds within 24 to 48 hours.
Google Play Charges
At play.google.com, click your profile icon, open Payments & subscriptions, then Budget & order history, and select Report a problem next to the Headway charge.9Google Play Help. Request a Refund on Google Play Google usually decides within one to four days. If more than 48 hours have passed since the charge, Google may send you to Headway directly.
What Happens After You Cancel
Your access to premium content continues until the end of the billing period you already paid for.3Headway App. Subscription Terms Cancel an annual plan in month three and you keep nine months of access. All cancellation does is switch off automatic renewal.
Check your account settings or your app store to confirm auto-renew is off. Your account and saved content stay in place if you resubscribe later.
One boundary worth noting: canceling the subscription is not the same as deleting your Headway account.
