To cancel your InfoTracer membership, log in to the member portal at members.infotracer.com and use the cancellation link under My Account, call support at (800) 791-1427, or email support@infotracer.com. InfoTracer’s terms describe the portal link as a “simple no-questions-asked cancellation link,” and the phone line runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.1InfoTracer. InfoTracer Terms of Service Cancellation stops future billing right away, but you keep access through the end of the billing cycle you already paid for, and InfoTracer does not refund the unused portion of that month.2InfoTracer. Frequently Asked Questions
Cancel in the Member Portal
The quickest route is self-service. Sign in at members.infotracer.com, open the My Account link in the top-right of the page, and click through to the settings area where the cancellation link lives.2InfoTracer. Frequently Asked Questions InfoTracer’s own terms call this a no-questions-asked link, so you shouldn’t have to justify leaving or sit through a retention pitch.1InfoTracer. InfoTracer Terms of Service
Before you close the tab, capture a screenshot of the confirmation screen or copy any reference number it shows. That screenshot is your evidence if a charge somehow posts after the cancellation date.
Cancel by Phone, Email, or Contact Form
If the portal isn’t cooperating or you’d rather have a person involved, InfoTracer lists three other channels:3InfoTracer. Contact Us
- Phone: (800) 791-1427, available 24/7.
- Email: support@infotracer.com. Include the name and email address on the account so the team can find your subscription.
- Contact form: members.infotracer.com/customer/help.
Whichever channel you pick, ask for a confirmation number and keep the sent email or reply. Phone is the weakest for documentation, so request a follow-up email before you hang up.
Locked Out of Your Account
Lost credentials are not a reason to keep paying. Your username is usually the email address you signed up with. Go to members.infotracer.com, click Forgot Password?, and enter that email to receive reset instructions.2InfoTracer. Frequently Asked Questions
If you’ve also lost access to that inbox, call (800) 791-1427 or email support@infotracer.com. The team can verify you with other details, such as the name on the account and the payment method on file. A recent bank or card statement showing the charge and the last four digits of the card speeds up that verification.
What Happens After You Cancel
Billing stops at the moment you cancel, but access doesn’t. InfoTracer lets you keep running searches through the remainder of the period you already paid for.2InfoTracer. Frequently Asked Questions If your card was charged on the 5th, you still have the service until the 5th of the next month.
The subscription runs $19.95 a month and is billed in advance, and InfoTracer does not prorate refunds for the unused portion once you cancel.1InfoTracer. InfoTracer Terms of Service There is no money saved by canceling on day two versus the final day of the cycle, so if you have searches you still want to run, do them before access ends.
Watch your next statement to confirm no new charge posts. If one does, the confirmation number or screenshot from the cancellation is what you’ll use to challenge it.
Refunds and Billing Disputes
InfoTracer’s refund policy covers a few specific situations. If the service couldn’t deliver the public records you were searching for, the company says it will issue a refund on request. If you forgot to cancel and got billed for another month, InfoTracer states it will review the account for possible refunds. For unauthorized purchases, the policy is a full refund and account closure.4InfoTracer. Refund Policy
If support won’t resolve the issue, you have a separate right to dispute the charge with your card issuer. Federal law gives you 60 days from the statement date to notify the issuer in writing. The issuer must acknowledge the dispute within 30 days and finish its investigation within two billing cycles, and your liability for unauthorized charges is capped at $50. Send the letter to the billing inquiries address on your statement, not the general customer service address, and include your account number, the charge date, and a copy of any cancellation confirmation you received.
Canceling Does Not Remove Your Data
Ending the subscription stops the charges; it does not take your personal information out of InfoTracer’s public records database. Those are two separate requests. If you also want your name and details scrubbed from search results, submit an opt-out at infotracer.com/optout, where you’ll enter your name and state, verify through a captcha, and remove each matching record individually.5InfoTracer. Opt Out Removal typically takes up to 72 hours. If records reappear later, submit again or email support@infotracer.com.
