How to Cancel Your ITVX Subscription on Any Device

To cancel your ITVX Premium subscription, go to whichever service actually bills you: cancel on the ITVX website if you signed up directly with ITV, or through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, or Roku if you subscribed through one of those platforms. You keep access until the end of your current paid period, and there are no partial refunds for the unused days.¹

First, Check Who’s Actually Billing You

This is the step people skip, and it’s the one that matters. Cancelling on the ITVX website will not stop charges coming from Apple or Google, and cancelling in Apple’s settings won’t touch a subscription billed directly by ITV.

Look at your most recent bank or card statement. A charge labelled “ITV” or “ITV Limited” means you subscribed through the ITVX website. “Apple.com/Bill,” “Google,” or “Amazon” means that platform is handling your payment and is where you need to cancel.

You can also confirm inside ITVX. Sign in at itv.com, click your profile icon, open Manage Account, and the billing provider should be listed there.

Cancelling on the ITVX Website

If ITV bills you directly:

Sign in at itv.com.
Click the profile icon and select Manage Account. Confirm your email and password if prompted.
Under Your Plan, click Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.

The whole thing takes under a minute once you’re signed in.²

Cancelling Through Apple

If you signed up in the ITVX app on an iPhone or iPad, Apple handles billing and you have to cancel in your Apple account settings:

Open Settings on your device.
Tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Find ITVX in the list and tap it.
Tap Cancel Subscription.

If there’s no cancel button and you see an expiration message in red, the subscription has already been cancelled.³

Cancelling Through Google Play

Android subscribers who signed up through Google Play need to cancel there:

Go to play.google.com and sign in to the Google account you used to subscribe.
Click My Subscriptions on the left.
Select ITVX Premium.
Click Manage, then Cancel Subscription.
Confirm in the pop-up.

On a phone, you can also open Settings, tap Google, tap your name, open Manage Your Google Account, and go to Payments and Subscriptions.²⁴

Cancelling Through Amazon

If you subscribed through an Amazon Fire device, log in to Amazon’s website and go to Your Memberships and Subscriptions. Find ITVX Premium in the list, select the cancel option, and follow the confirmation steps.²

Cancelling Through Roku

Roku is where the guidance gets muddled. ITVX’s help page tells you to log in to your Roku account on a phone or computer (not the TV itself), open My Account, and select Manage Your Subscriptions to cancel from there.² Roku’s own support page, on the other hand, says third-party streaming subscriptions should be managed directly through the streaming service.⁵ If the Roku route doesn’t show your ITVX subscription, try cancelling through ITVX directly or contact ITVX support.

What Happens After You Cancel

Cancelling doesn’t cut you off straight away. You keep full ITVX Premium access until the end of your current billing period. After that date, your account drops back to the free, ad-supported version of ITVX. No penalty, no extra charge.¹

There are no partial refunds. Cancel two days into a monthly cycle and you’ll still get the rest of the month, but you won’t be reimbursed for the unused portion.¹

The 14-Day Withdrawal Right

UK consumer regulations give you a legal right to withdraw from your ITVX Premium subscription within 14 days of signing up. The catch: you lose that right if you started watching content and acknowledged at sign-up that doing so would waive it. In practice, once you press play the window has closed.⁶

If you genuinely haven’t watched anything in those first 14 days, you can request a withdrawal through the contact form at itv.com/contactform. That’s a separate process from ordinary cancellation and can produce a full refund of your first payment.⁶

Deleting Your Account Is Not the Same as Cancelling

Deleting your ITVX account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple, Google Play, or Amazon. Those platforms will keep charging you until you cancel with them directly. Cancel the subscription first, then delete the account if you still want to.⁷
