How to Cancel Your LifeMD Membership: Deadlines and Refunds

To cancel your LifeMD membership, sign in to the patient portal at care.lifemd.com and use the Cancel/Pause Subscription option under Billing & Card, call (800) 852-1575, or email patientcare@lifemd.com. Do it at least eight hours before your next renewal date. Miss that window and the next charge goes through, and LifeMD generally does not refund subscription fees already paid.1LifeMD. The Three Ways to Cancel

Any of these three methods works for a standard subscription. The portal is usually fastest because it doesn’t depend on hold times or email replies.

  • Online: Sign in at care.lifemd.com, open My Account, go to Billing & Card, and choose Cancel/Pause Subscription.
  • Phone: Call (800) 852-1575, available Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 9 PM Eastern.
  • Email: Write to patientcare@lifemd.com with your full name and the email address on the account.

Whichever route you use, save the confirmation email or reference number. If a charge shows up later, that documentation is what you’ll need.1LifeMD. Terms and Conditions

Weight Management Members Use a Different Email

If you’re enrolled in LifeMD’s weight management or weight management maintenance program, email weightloss@lifemd.com instead of the general support address. The portal path (My Account → Billing & Card → Cancel/Pause Subscription) works the same way.1LifeMD. Terms and Conditions

One thing to know before you cancel: weight management maintenance program fees are entirely non-refundable, and LifeMD’s terms state this in capital letters.1LifeMD. Terms and Conditions

Cancel at Least Eight Hours Before Renewal

LifeMD’s terms require cancellation at least eight hours before your renewal date. Once you’re inside that eight-hour window, the next billing cycle will process.1LifeMD. Terms and Conditions That’s tighter than many subscription services, so check your account or most recent statement for the exact renewal date and act well ahead of it.

Canceling mid-term doesn’t cut off access immediately. You keep using LifeMD services through the end of your current billing period, and the subscription simply doesn’t renew after that.

If You Signed Up Through Apple or Google

Canceling with LifeMD directly won’t stop the charges if you subscribed through an app store. Those subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by LifeMD.

On Apple, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, find the LifeMD subscription, and cancel it there. If you can’t find the charge, search your email for “receipt from Apple” to see which Apple Account was used.2Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple On Google Play, open the Play Store app, tap your profile, go to Subscriptions, select LifeMD, and cancel; Google recommends doing this at least 48 hours before renewal.

Once the app store cancellation is done, contact LifeMD anyway to confirm your account is fully closed on their side.

What You Can and Can’t Get Refunded

The default rule is that all sales are final and non-refundable. Cancel before your term ends and you won’t get a prorated refund for the unused time; you keep the service until the current period expires, and billing stops after that.1LifeMD. Terms and Conditions

There is one narrow exception. If you sign up for a subscription program and your initial consultation determines you’re not clinically eligible for any treatment offered through that program, you may qualify for a pro rata refund of the unused portion.1LifeMD. Handle Prescriptions and Records First

Canceling doesn’t automatically end an active prescription. Ask your provider during cancellation whether your current prescription has remaining refills at a retail pharmacy. For brand-name GLP-1 medications like Wegovy or Zepbound, LifeMD can send the prescription to the pharmacy of your choice.4LifeMD. Can I Pick Up My Prescription at My Local Pharmacy? If you’re switching providers, transferring the prescription before the account closes spares you a new consultation elsewhere.

You also have the right under HIPAA to request a copy of your medical records from any covered entity, including a telehealth provider. The provider may charge a reasonable, cost-based fee for copies but cannot refuse the request.5HHS.gov. If Charges Continue After You Cancel

Consumer complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau describe subscribers being charged after they believed their accounts were closed, including cancellation requests that apparently didn’t go through and difficulty reaching support by phone.6BBB. LifeMD, Inc. Complaints That’s the reason for the confirmation email or screenshot mentioned above.

If a charge still hits after you canceled, start by contacting LifeMD support again with your cancellation confirmation. If that goes nowhere, call your bank or card issuer. Most issuers can block a specific merchant from charging your card, and you can dispute unauthorized post-cancellation charges. Some issuers charge a small fee for a stop-payment order, so ask before authorizing it.

The FTC’s click-to-cancel rule, finalized in late 2024, requires subscription sellers to make cancellation as simple as signing up and to stop charges immediately once a consumer cancels.7FTC.
