To cancel a Ling subscription, go to the platform that bills you — the App Store on iPhone or iPad, Google Play on Android, or Ling directly if you signed up on ling-app.com — and cancel there. Canceling in the wrong place leaves the charges running, so the first task is figuring out which platform is actually taking your money.
Check Where You’re Being Billed
Pull up your bank or credit card statement and look at the Ling charge. “Apple” or “apple.com/bill” means the subscription runs through the App Store. “Google” or “GOOGLE*Ling” means Google Play. A charge from Simya Solutions means you subscribed on the Ling website. If you can’t find the charge, search your email for a receipt or welcome message from Ling. People most often stay billed after a “cancellation” because they canceled on the wrong platform while the real billing source kept running.
Cancel on iPhone or iPad
App Store subscriptions are canceled through your Apple ID, not inside the Ling app.
- Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the Ling entry.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
If there’s no Cancel button, or you see an expiration date in red, the subscription is already canceled. On a free or discounted trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged for the first full billing cycle.1Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
Cancel on Android
Google Play handles the billing, so cancel from the Play Store app:
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Tap your profile icon in the upper-right corner.
- Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Ling and tap Cancel subscription.
Follow the prompts. You keep premium access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.2Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play
Pausing Instead
On the same screen, you may see a Pause payments option. If it’s there, you can stop billing temporarily — up to three months at a time — without losing progress, and billing resumes automatically when the pause ends.2Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play If you don’t see it, the option isn’t enabled for your account and cancellation is the only route.
Cancel on the Ling Website

Deleting the App Doesn’t Cancel the Subscription
Uninstalling the app, or even deleting your Ling account, does not stop the billing. The subscription lives with the payment platform (Apple, Google, or Ling’s own system), not with the app on your phone. Without a cancellation through one of the methods above, the charges keep coming.4Ling. Frequently Asked Questions
What Happens After You Cancel
Future charges stop, but your access doesn’t. You keep premium features through the end of the billing period you already paid for, then the account drops to the free version.4Ling.
