To cancel a Lume subscription, log into your account at lumedeodorant.com, open the Subscriptions tab, click Manage Order on the product, and select Cancel. Do it at least one business day before your next billing date, or the cancellation won’t take effect until the following cycle.
Cancel Through Your Lume Account
Handling it yourself on the website is the fastest path.
- Sign in at lumedeodorant.com using the email address on your original order. If you never set a password, you can create one with that same email.
- Open the Subscriptions tab on the left side of your account dashboard. You’ll see your active and inactive subscriptions listed.
- Click Manage Order on the product you want to stop.
- Select Cancel on the next page.
If you subscribe to more than one Lume product, each one has to be canceled separately. Lume’s help page says you can message their team instead and they’ll cancel everything on your behalf.1Lume Deodorant. How To Update or Cancel a Subscription
Watch the One-Business-Day Deadline
Lume requires any subscription change at least one business day before the upcoming billing date shown on your account page. Submit it after that cutoff and the change doesn’t apply until the next billing cycle. Once an order has been processed into Lume’s system, the company says it cannot guarantee the order can be stopped or modified.1Lume Deodorant. How To Update or Cancel a Subscription
This is where most cancellations go wrong. If your billing date is Monday and you try to cancel Monday morning, the charge may already be in flight. Check the billing date on your My Account page first, then work backward.
If You Can’t Access Your Account
When the dashboard won’t cooperate or you’ve lost access to your email, Lume’s help center has a contact form that takes your name, email, and a message describing what you need.2Lume Deodorant Help Center. Include the email address tied to your subscription and state clearly that you want it canceled. Save a copy of what you send. A timestamped written record is what you’ll need if a disputed charge comes up later. Because a person has to process the request, send it well ahead of the one-business-day cutoff to leave room for back-and-forth.
If You Subscribed Through Amazon
Lume is also sold on Amazon with a Subscribe & Save option.4Amazon. Lume Whole Body Deodorant – 72 Hour Odor Control If that’s how you signed up, canceling inside your Lume account does nothing. You have to cancel through Amazon.
- Open “Your Subscribe & Save Items” in your Amazon account.
- Click the Lume product image or hit Edit to see the subscription details.
- Select “Cancel subscription” and confirm with “Cancel my subscription.”
Amazon’s deadline is the date shown as “Last day to update this order” on the Subscribe & Save page. If the order has already entered shipping, you can’t stop it; you’d have to request a return once it arrives.5Amazon. Cancel Your Subscribe & Save Subscription
Pause or Stretch Instead of Canceling
If the problem is just too much product piling up, you don’t have to cancel. Clicking Manage Order on a subscription gives you other options: change the delivery date, send an order immediately, or adjust the frequency.1Lume Deodorant. How To Update or Cancel a Subscription Lume’s subscription page also offers scent swaps and the ability to skip shipments. Since subscribers get discounted pricing, a longer interval can be cheaper over time than canceling and buying one-off orders later.
A note on refunds: cancellation stops future shipments but doesn’t refund products already shipped. Lume accepts returns on eligible products bought through their website within 60 days, but only through their Returns Center and only using the prepaid label they email you. Shipping a return back on your own won’t be processed, and refunds don’t cover the original shipping cost.6Lume Deodorant. Subscription Policy & Returns
If You’re Charged After Canceling
Start with Lume’s support team through the contact form or support email. Post-cancellation charges are sometimes just timing, with an order that processed before the cancel went through. Attach your cancellation confirmation email or a screenshot showing a Cancelled status.
If Lume doesn’t fix it, federal law gives you two more layers.
Under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, you can stop a preauthorized recurring payment by notifying your bank at least three business days before the next scheduled transfer. You can do it by phone or in writing, but if you call, the bank can require written confirmation within 14 days or the stop order expires.7Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1693e – Preauthorized Transfers
If you paid with a credit card, the Fair Credit Billing Act gives you a separate dispute path. You have 60 days from the statement date containing the disputed charge to send a written billing error notice to your card issuer. The issuer must acknowledge the dispute within 30 days and resolve it within two billing cycles, capped at 90 days.8Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors
As of July 14, 2025, the FTC’s updated negative option rule requires sellers to make canceling at least as simple as signing up and to stop recurring charges immediately when you cancel.
