To cancel your Marquee Sports Network subscription, cancel through whichever platform bills you: Marquee directly if you signed up on its website or app with a credit card, or Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, or your cable or satellite provider if you signed up through one of them. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and Marquee doesn’t refund unused time, so timing your cancellation before the next auto-renewal is what actually saves you money.1Marquee Sports Network. Find Out Who’s Actually Billing You
Canceling in the wrong place is the fastest way to get charged again. Pull up a recent bank or credit card statement and look at the billing entity on the Marquee charge. If it reads “Marquee Sports Network” or something close, you subscribed directly. If it reads Apple, Google, Roku, or Amazon, that platform handles the billing and Marquee cannot cancel on your behalf. If the charge sits inside your cable or satellite bill, cancellation goes through that provider.
You can also confirm from inside the Marquee app or website. Log in, open account settings, and check the subscription details screen, which shows whether Marquee bills you or a third party does. One warning: deleting the app does nothing to your subscription. The charges keep coming until you cancel through the right channel.
Canceling a Direct Marquee Subscription
If you signed up on the Marquee Sports Network website or app with a credit card, cancel from your Marquee account. Log in, tap your profile icon, and go to subscription management. Choose the cancel option and follow the confirmation prompts. Marquee may offer a pause option or a retention screen along the way; skip past those and confirm the full cancellation if you want the billing to stop.
When it’s done, your account status should show canceled or scheduled to expire at the end of your paid period. If something looks off, call Marquee customer service at 800-571-8453.
Canceling Through Apple
iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV subscribers who used their Apple ID cancel through Apple:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the Marquee Sports Network subscription.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
If there’s no Cancel button and instead a red expiration message, the subscription is already canceled. Access continues through the end of the current billing cycle.
Canceling Through Google Play
Android users who subscribed through Google Play cancel through Google’s subscription manager:
- Open Google Play and go to your subscriptions page.
- Select Marquee Sports Network.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.
The same screen is reachable through Settings by tapping Google, then Manage your Google Account, then Payments & subscriptions, then Manage subscriptions. Access runs through the end of the current period.
Canceling Through Roku
Roku handles cancellation from the device itself using the remote:
- Press the Home button.
- Highlight the Marquee Sports Network app with the arrow buttons.
- Press the Star button.
- Select Manage Subscription.
- Select Turn Off Auto-Renew.
Roku labels it “turn off auto-renew” rather than cancel, but the effect is the same: no renewal, and access until the current period ends.
Canceling Through Amazon
Amazon Fire TV and Amazon app store subscribers cancel through their Amazon account:
- Go to Your Memberships and Subscriptions on Amazon’s website.
- Find the Marquee Sports Network subscription.
- Select Manage Subscription.
- Under Advanced Controls, select Cancel Subscription.
This is easier from a computer or phone browser than from the Fire TV interface, since the website shows all your active subscriptions in one place.
Canceling Through a Cable or Satellite Provider
Marquee is carried by more than 60 cable and streaming providers, including Xfinity, DirecTV, Spectrum, Mediacom, Astound, and Fubo. If you get Marquee as part of a cable or satellite sports package, your provider cancels it, not Marquee.
Some providers let you drop individual channels through an online account portal or an on-screen menu. Others require a phone call or a live chat. Ask specifically to remove the sports tier or add-on that includes Marquee. If it’s bundled in a way that can’t be broken apart, dropping Marquee may mean downgrading the whole plan.
Get a confirmation number and save it. Save chat transcripts and email confirmations too. If a charge for the channel shows up later, that record is your proof the request was made.
Timing, Refunds, and Auto-Renewal
Marquee’s direct-to-consumer plan runs $19.99 per month and renews automatically. All payments are non-refundable, and Marquee treats benefits as delivered as soon as you subscribe, so canceling mid-cycle doesn’t get you any money back for unused days.1Marquee Sports Network. Marquee Sports Network – Terms and Conditions The subscription auto-renews monthly on the first day after your current period ends.2Marquee Help Center. Will My Direct-to-Consumer Subscription Auto-Renew?
The practical rule: cancel before the current period expires. If your period runs through the 15th and you cancel on the 14th, you keep access until the 15th and pay nothing more. Cancel on the 16th and you’ve already been billed for the next month, with no refund. Your renewal date is visible in your account settings or in whichever platform’s subscription manager you used. A calendar reminder a few days ahead is worth setting.
Verifying the Cancellation Stuck
Check your email for a confirmation from whoever handled the billing. If you canceled with Marquee directly, log back in and confirm the status reads canceled or shows an expiration date matching the end of your paid period. For app store cancellations, the subscription manager on your device will show that auto-renew is off and display the expiration date.
If you’re charged after you thought you’d canceled, call Marquee at 800-571-8453 with your cancellation confirmation. For subscriptions billed through Apple, Google, Roku, or Amazon, disputes go through that platform’s support team, because Marquee doesn’t control those billing systems.3Marquee Help Center. Before You Cancel Over an Access Error
Marquee’s direct-to-consumer streaming is restricted to the Cubs television territory. A location error blocking access isn’t necessarily a reason to cancel. Verify your zip code is inside the coverage area at MarqueeSportsNetwork.com/Providers, try logging out and reinstalling the app, and turn off any VPN, which can make you look out-of-region even when you’re not.4Marquee Help Center. I Am Getting an Error That I Am Out of Region and Exceed the Device Limitation If none of that works, call 800-571-8453. If you’ve permanently moved outside Cubs territory, cancellation is the right call, since the service won’t work where you are.
