How to Cancel Your NovelFlow Subscription and Get a Refund

To cancel a NovelFlow subscription, go to the store where you originally signed up — the Settings app on an iPhone, the Google Play Store on Android, or NovelFlow’s support team if you subscribed through their website — and cancel at least 24 hours before your next renewal date. NovelFlow renews automatically 24 hours before each billing period ends, with plans running from roughly $5.99 per week to $29.99 per month, so the timing matters. Miss that window and you’ll be billed for another cycle before the cancellation takes effect.

Deleting the App Does Not Stop the Charges

This is the most expensive mistake people make. Removing NovelFlow from your phone does nothing to end the recurring billing. Apple and Google keep charging your payment method on schedule whether the app is installed or not. Cancel through your account settings first. Uninstall after.

Figure Out Who Is Actually Billing You

Before you can cancel, you need to know who is processing the payment. If you downloaded NovelFlow from the Apple App Store and subscribed inside the app, Apple handles the billing. If you got it from Google Play, Google handles it. Emailing NovelFlow won’t stop an app store charge, because NovelFlow doesn’t control that billing relationship.

Check your email for a receipt: Apple receipts come from apple.com, Google receipts from googleplay.com. Your bank or card statement will also show which company name sits next to the charge. Once you know the source, use the matching steps below.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad

If you subscribed on an Apple device, cancel through the Subscriptions section of Settings:

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap your name at the top of the screen.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Find NovelFlow in the list and tap it.
  • Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

Do this at least 24 hours before your renewal date. If you miss that window, Apple will bill you for another cycle before cancellation takes effect.1Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple

Cancel on Android Through Google Play

If you subscribed on an Android device, cancel through Google Play:

  • Open the Google Play Store app.
  • Tap your profile icon in the upper right corner.
  • Select Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  • Find NovelFlow and tap it.
  • Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.2Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play

Google may place an authorization hold on your payment method up to 48 hours before renewal, so don’t wait until the last day. Cancel well ahead of the renewal date.2Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play

Cancel if You Subscribed Through NovelFlow Directly

If your subscription isn’t tied to Apple or Google — for example, you signed up on NovelFlow’s website — email their support team at support@novelflow.app. Include your account email, the payment method you used, and a clear request to cancel the subscription and stop future billing. Keep a copy of the email you send and any reply.

If NovelFlow doesn’t respond within a few business days, you have a fallback. Under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, you can contact your bank or card issuer and ask them to stop the preauthorized recurring charges. Notify your financial institution at least three business days before the next scheduled transfer.3Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 US Code 1693e – Preauthorized Transfers

Save Your Confirmation and Verify

After canceling, take a screenshot of the confirmation screen or save the confirmation email. That screenshot is your proof you acted before the renewal deadline, and it becomes your strongest evidence if a charge shows up later and you need to dispute it.

You can also verify the cancellation went through. On an Apple device, return to Settings, tap your name, and open Subscriptions — a canceled plan shows an expiration date instead of a renewal date. On Google Play, the subscription page displays “Canceled” next to the plan.

Requesting a Refund if You Were Already Charged

Apple

Apple handles refund requests through a dedicated portal. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, tap “I’d like to,” and choose “Request a refund.” Select a reason, pick the NovelFlow charge from the list, and submit. Decisions usually come back within 24 to 48 hours. If a family member made the purchase under Family Sharing, the family organizer can request the refund by selecting the Apple Account button and choosing “All” on the Report a Problem page.4Apple Support. Google Play

Google gives you a shorter direct window. If it’s been less than 48 hours since the charge, you can request a refund directly through Google. After 48 hours, Google directs you to contact the app developer instead. For unauthorized charges, you have up to 120 days to report the transaction. Refund decisions typically take one to four business days.5Google Play Help. Request a Refund on Google Play

What Happens to Your Account After You Cancel

Canceling stops future charges but doesn’t cut off access immediately. Your subscription stays active through the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for, and you can keep reading unlocked chapters and using any coins or credits during that time. Once the paid period ends, the account drops to free-tier status. Reading history and account data are typically preserved, but premium chapters and features then require individual purchases or a new subscription.

NovelFlow’s policy on whether unused virtual currency carries over to a free account isn’t clearly documented. If you have coins or credits sitting in your account, spend them before the paid period ends rather than gambling on what survives the downgrade.
