Deleting the App Does Not Cancel the Subscription
Uninstalling ChatGPT from your phone removes the icon and frees up storage. It does nothing to your subscription. Apple and Google will keep charging your card on schedule because the billing relationship is between you and the app store, not between you and the app icon. If You’re On a Team, Business, or Enterprise Plan

What Happens After You Cancel

Your chat history, saved conversations, and account settings survive cancellation. Nothing is deleted because you stopped paying. If you resubscribe later, your old conversations will still be there.
Canceling is not the same as deleting your account. Deleting the account removes your data within 30 days, and it auto-cancels a web subscription, but it does not cancel subscriptions billed by Apple or Google. When Something Goes Wrong
The Cancel Button Isn’t There
Almost always, this means you’re looking in the wrong place. If you subscribed through the iPhone app, there is no cancel button on the ChatGPT website because Apple controls that billing. Check your original payment confirmation email to see which platform charged you, then cancel through that platform.
You Lost Access to the Login Email
