To cancel a Paramount+ subscription, go back to whichever service originally signed you up. If you subscribed on paramountplus.com, you cancel there. If Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, or Hulu bills you each month, you have to cancel inside that platform instead. The Paramount+ app won’t show a cancel button when a third party handles billing.
Check Who Actually Bills You
Before anything else, find out who charges your card. Open a recent bank or credit card statement and read the merchant name on the recurring charge. “Apple Services,” “Google Play,” or “Amazon” means that platform controls your subscription. A charge from Paramount+ or CBS Interactive means you cancel on the website.
You can also check inside the account itself. Log in at paramountplus.com, click your initials in the top-right corner, and select Account. The Subscription & Billing section shows your plan and billing source. When a third party handles billing, you’ll usually see a message pointing you to that platform instead of a cancel link.
Cancel on the Paramount+ Website
Log in at paramountplus.com and click your initials in the top corner. Select Account from the dropdown, then scroll to Subscription & Billing. Click Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.
Expect a retention offer. Paramount+ will typically pitch a discount or a cheaper plan before letting you go. Keep clicking “No Thanks” or “Continue to Cancel” until you land on a confirmation screen. Screenshot that page or wait for the confirmation email so you have proof the cancellation went through.
Cancel Through Apple
If Apple bills you, cancel in the device’s subscription settings, not the Paramount+ app.
On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, find Paramount+, and tap Cancel Subscription.1Apple Support. Find Paramount+, click Manage Subscription, and select Cancel Subscription under Advanced Controls.3Amazon. Manage Your Amazon Subscriptions

Cancel Through Roku

Cancel a Paramount+ Add-On on Hulu
Paramount+ with Showtime added through Hulu is canceled from your Hulu account, not from Paramount+. Open your Hulu Account page in a web or mobile browser, find Your Subscription, and select Manage Add-ons. Uncheck the box next to Paramount+ with SHOWTIME Add-on, click Review Changes, then Submit.6Hulu. Paramount+ With SHOWTIME on Hulu
What Happens After You Cancel
Access doesn’t cut off the moment you click cancel. Paid subscriptions stay active until the end of the current billing period, and free trials run through the trial’s original expiration date. No partial refunds are issued for time already paid.7Paramount+. How Do I Cancel My Subscription?
So there’s no penalty for canceling early in a billing cycle. You keep streaming through the period you already paid for. The only real risk is forgetting and letting the next charge hit.
Your account isn’t deleted after cancellation. Profile, watchlist, and preferences all stay intact, and everything picks up where you left off if you resubscribe. It’s worth noting your current plan before you cancel: as of January 2026, Paramount+ Essential runs $9 per month ($90 annually) and Paramount+ Premium costs $14 per month ($140 annually).
If a Service Won’t Let You Cancel
Federal law requires online sellers to clearly disclose recurring billing terms and provide a simple way to cancel. The Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act makes it illegal to charge you on a recurring basis without informed consent and an easy cancellation path.8Federal Trade Commission. Negative Option Rule A company that buries the cancel button or keeps charging you after cancellation can be reported to the FTC at ftc.gov.
The FTC has been pushing a stronger “Click to Cancel” rule that would formally require cancellation to be as easy as sign-up. An earlier version was struck down on procedural grounds in 2025, and the agency opened a new rulemaking in early 2026. In the meantime, the FTC still brings enforcement actions under existing authority. If you hit that kind of problem with any streaming service, document the charges, save your cancellation attempts, and file the complaint.
