How to Cancel Your PDFAid Subscription: Refunds and Disputes

To cancel a PDFaid subscription, use one of three channels: your account settings on the PDFaid website, an email to support@pdfaid.com, or a phone call to +1 (888) 857-5569.1PDFAid. Subscription Policy Do it at least 24 hours before your current billing period or trial ends, or the next charge goes through.2PDFAid. Terms of Use and Service The subscription renews automatically until you take action.

Cancel Through Your Account Settings

The fastest route is on the site itself. Log in, open your account or billing settings, and choose the option to manage or cancel your subscription. Follow the prompts until the page shows your plan status as canceled. Don’t close the browser until that status changes. If it still reads “active,” the cancellation may not have registered.

Federal rules support this option. The FTC’s Click-to-Cancel rule, which took effect in 2025, requires sellers to make cancellation at least as easy as sign-up, so if you signed up online you’re entitled to cancel online without being routed to a phone tree.3Federal Trade Commission. Cancel by Email or Phone

If the dashboard isn’t working or you want a written record, email support@pdfaid.com and ask for cancellation. Put your account email address in the message so the support team can find your profile. You can also call +1 (888) 857-5569.1PDFAid. Save everything you can. The sent email, any reply from support, a screenshot of your account status after the change. Written records are what you’ll need if a charge lands later and you have to dispute it.

Cancel the Paid Trial Before It Converts

PDFaid offers a 7-day paid trial that converts into a full subscription if you don’t cancel in time.1PDFAid. Subscription Policy Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid the full fee.2PDFAid. Terms of Use and Service

If you signed up for one project, set a reminder for day five or six. Canceling early doesn’t usually cut off access right away; the trial runs through its term. Waiting until the last few hours is where people get burned, because processing delays or timezone differences can push you past the cutoff.

Refund Eligibility

PDFaid accepts refund requests made within 7 days of the original registration date. After that, you generally can’t get a refund on the current billing period, and PDFaid reserves the right to deny a refund entirely if you’ve violated its terms of service.1PDFAid. Subscription Policy

Residents of EU, EEA, and Switzerland countries have a 14-day legal right to withdraw from the contract. If you cancel after service has already begun during that window, PDFaid deducts an amount proportional to what you’ve used. If you agreed to immediate access for a single digital content item, you may lose the withdrawal right entirely.1PDFAid. Subscription Policy Brazilian residents have a 7-calendar-day cancellation right. Colombian residents can request refunds for unauthorized or duplicate charges within 5 business days of discovering the issue.

Confirm the Cancellation Went Through

A cancellation isn’t done until you’ve confirmed it from more than one angle. Look for a confirmation email from PDFaid stating that your subscription will not renew. If nothing arrives within a couple of days, follow up. Silence is not confirmation.

Then watch your bank or credit card statements for at least one full billing cycle. PDFaid trial plans start under $2 and annual plans run about $25 a year, so a charge that slips through can be small enough to miss if you aren’t looking.

If Charges Keep Coming

Stop Payment Through Your Bank

When charges continue after cancellation, you can place a stop payment order with your bank. Call to revoke authorization for the recurring payment, then follow up in writing. Once you and the bank have both revoked authorization, further debits from that company are errors and your bank should refund them.5Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. How Do I Stop Automatic Payments From My Bank Account Under federal law, you can stop a preauthorized electronic transfer by notifying your bank at least three business days before the scheduled payment date.6Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1693e – Preauthorized Transfers

Most banks charge a fee for stop payment orders, typically $15 to $35. Keep records of every request and the date you made it. That documentation is what gets you a refund if a payment still gets through.

Dispute the Charge

If a charge hits after cancellation, your dispute rights depend on how you paid. For debit cards and bank account withdrawals, the Electronic Fund Transfer Act gives you 60 days from the date your bank sends the statement showing the charge to report it as unauthorized.7Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 12 CFR 1005.11 – Procedures for Resolving Errors Miss that window and you could be liable for any unauthorized transfers that occur afterward.8Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 12 CFR 1005.6 – Liability of Consumer for Unauthorized Transfers For credit card charges, the Fair Credit Billing Act provides a similar 60-day dispute window and bars the card issuer from damaging your credit standing while it investigates.9Federal Trade Commission. The cancellation confirmation email you saved earlier is your strongest evidence in either dispute. Without it, you’re asking the bank to take your word over the merchant’s.
