Canceling for One Child but Not the Others
Multi-child households don’t have to cancel the whole family. Use the same unsubscribe form or email info@pjlibrary.org and specify which child’s subscription you want to end.3PJ Library. What to Expect After You Cancel
You may still get one final book that was already on its way.1PJ Library. Unsubscribe PJ Library doesn’t publish a monthly cutoff, so treat that last arrival as normal, not a sign the cancellation didn’t go through. After it, shipments should stop.
Nothing happens on the billing side. The program is free, so there’s no charge to refund and no contract to break.
Moving Instead of Quitting
If you’re relocating rather than leaving the program, don’t cancel. Use the Change Your Address form at pjlibrary.org/pj-near-you/change-your-address, where you enter your old and new addresses and the names of enrolled children.6PJ Library. Because the program runs through local partners, moving to a new area effectively transfers your subscription to a different one, and the FAQ notes you may need to sign up again with your new community.2PJ Library. If Your Child Is Aging Out
Canceling may not be what you want. Most communities run PJ Library through age 9, after which kids become eligible for PJ Our Way, the companion program for ages 9 through 12.2PJ Library. If You Also Want Your Data Deleted
Unsubscribing stops the books but doesn’t necessarily remove your personal information from PJ Library’s systems. The privacy notice gives you the right to request deletion of your personal data, with some exceptions for legal or contractual obligations.4PJ Library. PJ Library Privacy Notice – Section: Your Rights and Choices Send deletion requests to Privacy@HGF.org and be ready to verify your identity, since the organization can deny requests it cannot verify. The notice doesn’t say how long data is kept after you unsubscribe, so a separate deletion request is the only way to be sure.
