To cancel a Playlet subscription, go to the platform that processes your payment — the Apple App Store, Google Play, PayPal, or the Playlet website — and turn off the subscription there. Deleting the app from your phone does not stop the charges, and neither does deleting your Playlet account. The correct cancellation path depends entirely on how you originally signed up, and using the wrong one is the most common reason people keep getting billed after they think they’ve quit.
Find Out Who Is Actually Billing You
Before you cancel anything, pull up your bank or credit card statement and look at the most recent Playlet charge. The merchant name tells you where to go:
- “Apple.com/bill” or “APPLE.COM” means you subscribed through the App Store. Cancel through Apple.
- “GOOGLE*Playlet” or similar means Google Play is billing you. Cancel there.
- “Stripe” or “Playlet” as the descriptor usually means you signed up directly on the Playlet website.
- A PayPal charge shows PayPal’s name and requires canceling the billing agreement inside PayPal.
Playlet uses a coin-and-pass system with weekly and monthly tiers, and app store listings show weekly passes running roughly $19.99 to $34.99 and monthly passes around $69.99. An unnoticed subscription adds up quickly, so getting the source right the first time matters — otherwise you’ll cancel in the wrong place and another charge will post while you’re waiting.
Cancel on iPhone or iPad Through the App Store
If you subscribed on an iOS device, cancellation happens in your device Settings, not inside the Playlet app.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top of the screen to open your Apple Account.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Playlet from the list.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. You can also manage subscriptions at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions from any browser.1Apple. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
If you signed up through a free or discounted trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged the full price.1Apple. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple Playlet’s site uses the same 24-hour cutoff for introductory offers.2PlayLet. PlayLet – Fun Shorts Here
One catch: if a Family Sharing organizer bought the subscription, only that person can cancel it. Individual family members can’t cancel a subscription someone else is paying for.3Apple Support. How to Leave or Remove a Member From a Family Sharing Group
Cancel on Android Through Google Play
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Playlet.

You can reach the same screen through the device Settings app: tap Google, then your name, then Manage your Google Account, and go to Payments & subscriptions.4Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play
Cancel on the Playlet Website
If you paid with a credit card directly on Playlet’s site rather than through an app store, cancel in your browser.
- Go to my.playlet.com and sign in with the email or social account you registered with.
- Open your profile, account, or subscription settings in the dashboard.
- Turn off auto-renewal or select the cancellation option. Any exit survey is usually optional.
You should receive a confirmation email. Save it. If you can’t find the cancellation option, Playlet’s support address is playletmicro@gmail.com — include your account email and any transaction details.
Cancel a PayPal Billing Agreement
If PayPal is the payment method, canceling inside the Playlet app or website may not be enough. PayPal keeps its own billing agreement that continues independently, so you also need to stop it on PayPal’s side.
On the PayPal website, go to Settings, click Payments, then Subscriptions and saved businesses (or Automatic Payments). Find Playlet and cancel the agreement. In the PayPal app, tap the menu icon, then Subscriptions or Linked Businesses, tap Playlet, select Manage, choose Stop Paying with PayPal, and tap Unlink to confirm. If Playlet isn’t listed under Subscriptions, check under Linked Businesses; PayPal sometimes categorizes merchants inconsistently.5PayPal. Automatic Payment – Update Recurring Payments
Deleting the App or Your Account Won’t Stop the Charges
Uninstalling Playlet removes the app but has no effect on the billing agreement you authorized through Apple, Google, or PayPal. Those subscriptions live on those platforms, not on your device. Both iOS and Android let you delete a paid app without warning you that an active subscription is still running.
Deleting your Playlet account is a separate issue and also does not clearly stop billing on its own. Playlet’s guide says deleting your account means losing “access to most services, including your account and app-related information, subscriptions, and other linked services,” but it does not explicitly say that account deletion cancels a subscription managed by Apple or Google. Cancel through your app store or payment provider first, then delete the account afterward if you want your data removed. You lose any purchased coins or virtual goods with no refund when the account is deleted.6PlayLet. Account Deletion Guide
Getting a Refund
Playlet’s terms state that subscription payments are “final and non-refundable.” If you believe you were charged in error, you have 30 days from the charge date to contact support for a possible correction; after that, Playlet’s own policy offers nothing.7Playlet. Terms of Service
Apple and Google run their own refund processes independent of Playlet’s policy. On Apple, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the Playlet charge, and request a refund. Reviews usually come back within 24 to 48 hours, and eligibility varies by country.8Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple On Google Play, open play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, find the transaction, and select Request a refund. Google typically responds in one to four days.
Neither company guarantees approval, but both are more receptive when the charge is recent, especially for accidental renewals or forgotten trials.
If Charges Keep Coming After You Cancel
Check first whether the charge covers a period you already owed. Most subscriptions run through the end of the paid cycle, so a charge posted on the same day you canceled may be legitimate. Look at the Playlet app: if your status shows “Expires on [date]” instead of “Renews on [date],” the auto-renewal is genuinely off.
For an unauthorized charge after your cancellation date, start with the billing platform. Contact Apple, Google, or PayPal with your cancellation confirmation and ask for a refund. If that doesn’t work, dispute the charge with your bank or credit card issuer.
For debit card charges, federal law lets you stop preauthorized transfers by telling your bank at least three business days before the next scheduled charge.9Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 US Code 1693e – Preauthorized Transfers If an unauthorized charge already went through, report the error to your bank within 60 days of receiving the statement showing it.10Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 12 CFR 1005.11 – Procedures for Resolving Errors Notifying your bank within two business days of discovering an unauthorized charge caps your liability at $50; waiting longer can raise it to $500.11Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 12 CFR 1005.6 – Liability of Consumer for Unauthorized Transfers
For credit card charges, contact your issuer and request a chargeback. Keep the cancellation confirmation email, screenshots showing the subscription ended, and any correspondence with Playlet support. That documentation is what decides whether a dispute succeeds.
