How to Cancel Your Plus AI Subscription and Get a Refund

To cancel a Plus AI subscription, sign in to the billing portal at app.plusdocs.com/billing-portal, click “Manage plan” to open your subscription in Stripe, and then click “Cancel subscription.” The whole process takes about two minutes. One warning before you start: uninstalling the Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint add-on does not stop billing. You have to cancel inside the billing portal, or the charges keep coming.

The Cancellation Steps

Everything happens through Plus AI’s billing portal, which runs on Stripe.

  • Go to app.plusdocs.com/billing-portal in your browser. You can also open it from inside Google Slides by clicking “Manage Plans and Billing” in the Plus AI sidebar.
  • Sign in with the email address tied to your Plus AI account. If you signed up through Google, use the same Google account.
  • Click “Manage plan” to open your subscription in Stripe’s portal.
  • Click “Cancel subscription” and confirm.

Plus AI plans renew automatically every month or every year unless you cancel, so the date matters. Cancel before the renewal date, or you’ll be charged for another full period.1Plus Guide. Plans and Billing

Uninstalling the Add-On Will Not Stop the Charges

This catches people constantly. Removing the Plus AI extension from Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint has no effect on your billing. Plus AI’s own documentation says so directly: uninstalling the add-on does not cancel your subscription or delete your account.1Plus Guide. Plans and Billing If you only uninstall and walk away, Stripe keeps billing your card on schedule. The billing portal is the only place where a cancellation actually registers.

If You’re on a Team or Organization Plan

Only the organization owner can cancel. Individual team members cannot end a subscription on their own, even for their own seat. The owner handles all billing changes through the same portal at app.plusdocs.com/billing-portal.1Plus Guide. Plans and Billing If you’re a team member who wants out, you’ll need to ask whoever set up the account.

Refunds and Timing

Plus AI does not issue refunds. Their terms of service state that all payments are final and non-refundable, including if you cancel partway through a billing period.2Plus AI. Plus AI Terms of Service This applies to both monthly and annual plans. Cancel an annual plan after six months and you don’t get the remaining six months back.

That no-refund rule makes the renewal date the thing to watch. Once the next payment processes, you’re locked in for the whole period it covers. Annual plans are especially unforgiving because the charge is the full year upfront. Check your card statement for the amount you’ve been paying so you know what you’re trying to prevent.3Plus AI. All plans begin with a 7-day free trial. If you’re still inside that window and decide the tool isn’t for you, cancel before the trial ends and you won’t be charged at all.3Plus AI. Plus AI Pricing

What You Keep After Canceling

Your paid features stay active through the end of the billing period you already paid for. Cancel halfway through a monthly cycle and the AI tools remain available until that month’s end date. The account then drops to the free tier rather than disappearing.

Presentations and documents you created with Plus AI live in your Google Drive or Microsoft account, not on Plus AI’s servers, so canceling doesn’t delete them. Slide decks, outlines, and other generated content remain yours. What you lose is the ability to use Plus AI going forward: generating new slides, editing with AI, and premium templates.

After you cancel, Stripe sends a confirmation email. Save it. If anything goes wrong with billing later, that email is your proof you ended the subscription before the renewal date.

If You Get Charged After Canceling

First, check whether the charge covers a billing period that started before your cancellation date. Annual renewals can look like surprises because they land weeks before people expect them, but a charge dated before your cancellation is a charge you owed.

If the charge actually occurred after your confirmed cancellation date, start with Plus AI’s support team and send the Stripe confirmation email. If that doesn’t resolve it, file a dispute with your credit card issuer or bank. Most card issuers allow disputes within 60 days of the statement date, and the cancellation confirmation is your evidence. A bank stop-payment order against the merchant can also block future charges, though banks typically charge $25 to $35 for that service.
