To cancel a Readora subscription, you first have to figure out who is actually charging you, because the app routes billing through several different processors and often does not appear in the usual Apple or Google subscription lists. Once you know whether the charge is running through Apple, Google Play, PayPal, or a direct card authorization, you cancel at that source. If Readora ignores you or keeps billing after you cancel, you have refund and chargeback rights that work even when the company won’t respond.
Start By Checking Your Bank Statement
Pull up your credit card or bank statement and find the Readora charge. The merchant name on the line item tells you which path will actually stop the billing. Readora’s pricing varies by signup source, and so does the processor: some users are billed by Apple, some by Google, some through PayPal, and some through a direct card authorization tied to Readora or a related company.1Google Play. Cancel Through Apple on iPhone or iPad
Open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. If Readora is listed, tap it and choose Cancel Subscription.3Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple If Readora is not in the list, Apple isn’t the biller. Check your original purchase confirmation email to identify the processor and use one of the sections below.
Cancel Through Google Play on Android
Open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon in the top-right corner, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Tap Readora and select Cancel subscription. You keep access through the end of the billing period you already paid for, and no new charge should appear after that date.4Google Play. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play If Readora isn’t listed here either, the billing is running through PayPal or a direct card charge.
Cancel Through PayPal
Log into PayPal on a computer, open Settings using the gear icon, then go to Payments and Manage automatic payments (some accounts label it Pre-approved payments). Find Readora or any unfamiliar merchant tied to the charge amount and cancel the billing agreement. This is worth checking even if you don’t remember using PayPal at signup; some users only discovered PayPal was involved after other cancellation routes failed.
Email Readora Directly
If no platform-level cancellation works, email support. Several addresses are tied to different versions of the service, so send the same request to all of them:
- sunwindev@gmail.com, listed in some App Store reviews as the developer contact
- contact@official-readora.com, listed on one version of Readora’s terms of service
- Feedback@wentanglobal.com, reported by users on forums as a working contact
Include your name, the email tied to your account, roughly when you subscribed, and a clear statement that you want the subscription canceled and all future charges stopped. Keep copies of everything you send and receive. Some users get a confirmation in a few days; others describe weeks of silence. If you have not heard back within five business days, move to refunds and chargebacks.
Request a Refund From Apple or Google
Canceling stops future charges. To get back what you’ve already paid, go through the app store that processed the payment.
Apple
Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in. Click “I’d like to,” choose “Request a refund,” select a reason, pick the Readora charge from your purchase history, and submit.5Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple Apple decides case by case.
Google Play
Go to play.google.com, click your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Budget & order history. Find the Readora charge, click Report a problem, and complete the refund form. For purchases older than 48 hours, Google may redirect you to the developer. If a charge was never authorized, report it within 120 days through Google’s unauthorized transaction portal.6Google Play. Dispute the Charge With Your Card Issuer
When the developer won’t respond and the app store won’t refund, a chargeback is your strongest tool. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, you have 60 days from the date the charge first appeared on your statement to send a written dispute to your credit card issuer.7Office of the Law Revision Counsel. United States Code Title 15 – 1666 Most issuers also accept disputes by phone or through their app, but a written notice sent to the billing inquiries address on your statement gives you the strongest legal footing. While the investigation is open, you don’t have to pay the disputed amount, and the issuer cannot report you as delinquent on that charge.8Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges Debit card users have dispute rights too, but the protections are weaker and the deadlines tighter, so act quickly.
The Cancellation Runaround Is Illegal
Federal law now requires that canceling a subscription be at least as easy as signing up. The FTC’s click-to-cancel rule at 16 CFR ยง 425.6 bars any business from putting extra steps between you and cancellation that were not there at signup. If you subscribed with a few taps in an app, the company cannot force you onto a phone call or require you to email multiple addresses and wait weeks.9eCFR. 16 CFR 425.6 – Simple Cancellation (Click to Cancel) The rule also requires clear disclosure of the cost, frequency, and terms of recurring charges before billing, with informed consent obtained separately from the rest of the transaction.10Federal Trade Commission. File a Complaint If Charges Continue
If Readora ignores your cancellation or keeps charging you after you’ve canceled, report it at reportfraud.ftc.gov. The FTC does not resolve individual disputes, but complaints feed enforcement investigations, and a pattern of complaints against the same operator matters.11Federal Trade Commission. ReportFraud.ftc.gov Leaving an app store review describing what happened also warns other users before they subscribe.
Confirm It Stuck
Don’t treat the cancellation as done until you have written proof: a confirmation email from Readora, a status change in your Apple or Google subscription settings showing the plan as expired or set to end on a specific date, or a PayPal notification that the billing agreement is canceled. Screenshot all of it. Set a calendar reminder for the day after your current billing period ends and check your statement. If a charge posts after your confirmed cancellation date, those screenshots become the evidence for a chargeback or an FTC complaint.
