How to Cancel Your Ryoko Subscription and Stop Charges

There’s no cancellation fee, no contract to break, and the plan you already paid for stays active until the end of its six-month cycle.1Ryoko. Can I Cancel My Data Plan / Subscription at Any Time?

Send the Cancellation Email

Write to support@getryoko.com. Use a subject line that leaves no room for interpretation, something like “Cancel Data Plan Subscription,” so the message reaches the right queue.2Ryoko. Ryoko Data Plans

In the body, give the support team enough to locate your account:

  • Your full name.
  • The email address you used at checkout (not necessarily your everyday address).
  • Your order number, from the original confirmation or shipping email.
  • Your plan name, since Ryoko sells several tiers.
  • A clear statement that you want to stop all future renewals.

If the order number is gone, the last four digits of the payment card you used can help the billing team find you. Save the sent message. That’s your record.

Email is the confirmed route. Some third-party write-ups mention canceling through an online dashboard, but Ryoko’s own support pages point to email only, so use email and keep the confirmation.

Watch the Six-Month Billing Cycle

Ryoko bills every six months, not monthly.2Ryoko. Ryoko Data Plans Missing a cancellation window means paying for another half-year of service, not just another month. If your renewal date is close, send the email now rather than later. There’s no penalty for canceling early in the cycle; your service still runs through the paid period.

What Happens After You Cancel

Your data plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and then it stops renewing.1Ryoko. Can I Cancel My Data Plan / Subscription at Any Time? Use whatever data is left in the meantime. Once the cycle ends, the device goes offline.

Ryoko’s return policy page states that support responds to inquiries within three business days, so expect roughly that turnaround on cancellation confirmation.3Ryoko. Return Policy If nothing arrives in that window, reply to your original message and ask for status. Keep both emails.

Canceling the plan has nothing to do with the hardware. You bought the Ryoko device outright, and it stays yours whether the subscription is active or not. You’re only stopping the cellular data service.

If You Get Charged After Canceling

Check your bank or card statement for at least one full billing cycle after you cancel. If a Ryoko charge posts after you already have written confirmation that the subscription was ended, you can dispute it with your card issuer.

Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, you have 60 days from the date the statement containing the charge is sent to send a written dispute to your card issuer. The issuer must acknowledge the dispute within 30 days and resolve it within two billing cycles, generally no more than 90 days.4Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors Attach your cancellation confirmation as evidence. Most card issuers also accept disputes by phone or through their app, but the statutory protections apply specifically to written notices sent to the billing dispute address the issuer designates.

If you miss the 60 days, you lose the federal protection, but many banks will still investigate voluntarily. File anyway.

Returning the Device Is a Separate Process

Canceling the data plan does not return the hardware or refund what you paid for it. If you also want your money back on the device, that’s a separate request, and Ryoko only accepts returns within 60 days of delivery for items bought directly from their website.3Ryoko. Return Policy You request a Return Merchandise Authorization through the contact form at getryoko.com/contact, wait for the RMA form, and ship the device back in its original condition using a trackable method. Refunds are issued within 14 days of the warehouse receiving the return, then take another three to five business days to reach your account.
