To cancel a Typeform subscription, an account Owner or Admin opens Plan & Billing in the organization settings and downgrades to the Free plan. Paid features keep working until the end of the current billing period, and Typeform does not refund the unused portion of what you’ve already paid.1Typeform. What Happens if I Cancel My Paid Account
Check That You Have Permission First
Only Owners and Admins can see Plan & Billing.2Typeform Help Center. Organization, Account, and Profile Settings Editors and Viewers won’t find the option in their menu at all.3Typeform. Add Users to Organizations and Workspaces If that’s you, ask the Owner to cancel the plan or to change your role before you try again.
How To Downgrade To The Free Plan
Log in, then click your alias or the organization icon in the top-left corner of your workspace. Choose Plan & Billing from the Organization section of the menu.4Typeform Help Center. My Plan and Billing Note the renewal date shown on this screen; that’s the day your paid access actually ends.
Select the Free plan and click Get Free. Typeform then runs you through a short cancellation survey. You must finish the survey and click Submit at the end. Close the browser early and nothing happens: the subscription stays active and you get billed again.5Typeform. Cancel Your Typeform Plan
After the survey you’ll usually see a retention offer, such as a discount or an account pause. If neither interests you, continue to the final screen, tick the confirmation box, and click Cancel my plan.5Typeform. Cancel Your Typeform Plan Typeform emails a confirmation once the cancellation is on file. Keep that email in case a charge shows up later.
When Billing Actually Stops
Cancellation isn’t instant. You keep full paid access until the current billing period runs out. Cancel a monthly plan on August 8 when renewal is set for August 27, and everything works normally through August 27. After that, the account drops to Free.5Typeform. Cancel Your Typeform Plan
There is no partial refund. Cancel an annual subscription four months in and you still get the remaining eight months of access, but Typeform won’t return any money for them.1Typeform. What Happens if I Cancel My Paid Account
What Happens To Your Forms And Responses
Your typeforms and the responses you’ve collected stay in your account. Typeform does not delete them.5Typeform. Cancel Your Typeform Plan Any form that uses paid-only features, though, including logic jumps, custom branding, or payment fields, gets taken offline and set to private the moment the downgrade kicks in. Those forms stop collecting responses until you strip the premium features out of them.6Typeform. Billing and Payments FAQ If your most important survey relies on branching logic, the link goes dark on day one of the Free plan.
The Free plan itself caps you at 10 responses per month across every typeform you own. Reporting is basic, and features like drop-off rate analytics are held back for the Business plan and up.7Typeform. Free Plan If you still need to collect responses after cancelling, that monthly ceiling is the number to plan around.
Export Your Data Before The Downgrade
While your paid period is still running, open the Results tab of each typeform and export responses to CSV or Excel. Response data remains accessible on the Free plan, but the 10-per-month cap and the loss of advanced reporting make it harder to work with later. A clean export now saves the hassle.
Past invoices and receipts live in your billing email inbox, and you can also pull them from Plan & Billing while the account is still active.8Typeform Help Center. Billing and Payments FAQ Grab anything you need for records or taxes before the switch.
Don’t Confuse Cancelling With Deleting
Cancelling the subscription and deleting the account are not the same thing. Cancellation moves you to Free, keeps your forms and responses, and lets you resubscribe whenever you want. Deletion wipes the account.
If you do delete, Typeform keeps a backup for 15 days, and you can contact support within that window to request a restoration. After 15 days, the account and its data are gone, and even a restored account won’t bring back responses that had already been deleted.9Typeform Help Center. Backup and Restoration Procedures If the goal is simply to stop paying, cancel the subscription and leave the account in place.
