Before You File: Make Sure Your Issue Qualifies
The warranty covers resizing, refinishing, cleaning, and replacement of simulated stones, plus defects in workmanship or materials.1Herff Jones. One disqualifier matters more than the others. If anyone other than Herff Jones has worked on the ring — a local jeweler resizing it, replacing a stone, anything — the warranty is void permanently.3Herff Jones. Download the Right Form
Herff Jones publishes separate warranty forms for high school rings and college rings on its website.4Herff Jones. Herff Jones Ring Warranty Form Print the version that matches your ring. You cannot submit the form electronically.
What Goes in Each Field
The form is short. It asks for:
- Your full name, mailing address, daytime phone, evening phone, and email.
- The name of the school, plus the campus, city, and state.
- The approximate month and year of purchase. Graduation year is not asked.
- Your order number, if you have it. This field is optional.
- The reason for the claim.
- Your signature authorizing the repair.
Be specific in the reason field. “Stone fell out of the left side setting” tells the technician more than “ring is broken.” If the ring has more than one problem, list each one.
If You’ve Lost Your Order Number
You can still file. The order number field is optional. Packaging the Ring
Put the ring and the completed form in a small, sturdy box. A rigid box protects the ring better than a padded envelope. Wrap the ring on its own so it doesn’t slide against anything hard during shipping.

Who Pays for Shipping
High school ring warranties cover shipping within the United States.1Herff Jones. Class Ring Full Lifetime Warranty The college ring warranty page makes no such promise, so college ring owners should plan to pay shipping both ways. If you aren’t sure which category your ring falls in, call the warranty department before you mail it.
After You Mail It

Programs the Warranty Form Doesn’t Handle
Two situations use the same Warranty Services Department but are not routine warranty claims. If you earned an advanced degree, the Step Up program lets the original owner trade a Herff Jones college ring purchased after 1983 for one reflecting the new degree at no charge, even for a different school if Herff Jones currently makes rings for it. If your college ring was lost or stolen, the Lost Ring Program offers a one-time duplicate at a reduced price for college rings bought on or after January 1, 2014, within six years of purchase; genuine stones and diamonds are not included in the replacement.3Herff Jones.
