How to Fill Out and Submit the Securitas Time Off Request Form

To submit a Securitas time off request, open the MyConnect mobile app, go to the time off feature, enter your dates and leave type, and send it to your supervisor for approval. At sites that use the eHub web portal, you can do the same thing through a browser. A few locations still accept a paper form handed directly to a supervisor. Whichever channel you use, the request works best when it’s complete, accurate, and submitted well ahead of the dates you want off.

Where to Submit the Request

MyConnect App

The MyConnect app is the primary channel. It’s available on Android and iOS and lets you request time off, view your current balances, and check your weekly schedule from your phone.1Google Play. Securitas MyConnect If you haven’t installed it, search “Securitas MyConnect” in your app store and log in with your Securitas credentials. The time off feature sits among the app’s core functions, so you shouldn’t have to hunt through menus.

eHub Web Portal

Some sites use eHub, a scheduling and self-service portal built by Team Software. Where eHub is active, you submit time off directly through the web interface. The system pulls you off the schedule for the requested dates and adjusts your accrued time once the request is approved.2Team Software. eHub: Employee and Client Portal for WinTeam Software Your supervisor or branch office can provide the login URL and credentials.

Paper Form

If you don’t have reliable phone or internet access, ask your site supervisor whether a paper form is available. Hand it to the supervisor in person rather than leaving it in a shared area, so you have confirmation it was received. For questions about the process, Securitas keeps an employee services contact form on its website that reaches HR.3Securitas. Employee Services

What to Have Ready Before You Submit

Have this information in front of you before you open the form:

  • Your employee ID number, from your pay stub or badge. A wrong ID delays processing or routes the request to the wrong file.
  • The exact first and last dates you want off. “Sometime next month” won’t process; use specific calendar dates.
  • The leave type: accrued vacation, paid sick leave where it applies, personal time, or unpaid. The system needs to know which balance to draw from.
  • Your direct supervisor’s name, so the request routes to the right approver.
  • A phone number or email where scheduling can reach you if there’s a conflict.

The most common reason a request bounces back is incomplete information, especially a missing employee ID or dates that don’t line up with the pay period calendar. Check everything before submitting.

Check Your Balance First

Pull up your current balance in MyConnect before you request anything. Asking for five days when three are banked is an automatic denial.1Google Play. Securitas MyConnect Vacation at Securitas is generally tied to anniversary-year hours rather than the calendar year, and typical accrual for security officers looks like this:

  • Years 1 through 4: up to 40 hours per anniversary year.
  • Years 5 through 9: up to 80 hours per anniversary year.
  • Year 10 and beyond: up to 120 hours per anniversary year.

These figures can vary based on your site’s client contract, any collective bargaining agreement, and state law. Some locations impose a 90-day waiting period before new hires can use accrued time; others require a full year of service. The balance shown in your app is the number that matters.

Sick Leave and FMLA Go Through Different Routes

Securitas has no universal company-wide paid sick leave benefit. Whether you get paid sick time depends on your state and local laws. If your state mandates it, that balance should appear separately from vacation in the system. When in doubt, ask your supervisor or reach HR through the employee services page before assuming a sick day is unpaid.

For a serious health condition or a qualifying family event, you may be eligible for leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act, which provides up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave while keeping your group health benefits in place.4U.S. Department of Labor. Family and Medical Leave Act Eligibility requires 12 months of employment, at least 1,250 hours worked in the prior 12 months, and a worksite where Securitas employs at least 50 people within 75 miles.5U.S. Department of Labor. Fact Sheet 28 – The Family and Medical Leave Act Don’t route an FMLA request through the regular time off form in MyConnect. Contact your branch HR office directly to start the paperwork, which usually includes a medical certification from your healthcare provider.

What Happens After You Submit

The request goes to your direct supervisor. They check your dates against the site schedule to confirm minimum staffing holds. Security contracts carry strict manning requirements, so a supervisor can’t approve leave that would leave a post uncovered unless a replacement is arranged. If the schedule works, the request is approved and your balance adjusts automatically in systems like eHub.2Team Software. eHub: Employee and Client Portal for WinTeam Software If the dates conflict with other approved leave or a high-coverage period, the supervisor may deny the request or propose alternatives. Track the status in MyConnect rather than chasing anyone down in person.

How to Improve Your Odds of Approval

Submit early. When multiple officers want the same dates, supervisors generally approve on a first-come, first-served basis, and that matters most around holidays. Two to four weeks ahead is a reasonable minimum for routine vacation. For holidays or extended absences, give a month or more.

  • Know your site’s peak coverage dates and avoid requesting them if you can. New Year’s Eve at a retail post or a large event date at a venue will be an uphill battle.
  • If a coworker will cover your shifts, mention it in the request. Removing the coverage problem removes the main reason requests get denied.
  • Don’t request more hours than you’ve accrued. Ten seconds in MyConnect avoids an automatic rejection.
  • Follow up after a week or two if you haven’t heard back. Requests occasionally stall during busy periods.

If a denial seems to violate state law or a collective bargaining agreement, contact your branch HR office or your union representative, and escalate through Securitas employee services if needed.3Securitas. Employee Services
