To cancel an AmeriPlus vehicle service contract or GAP waiver administered by Warranty Solutions, submit the Warranty Solutions cancellation form online at warrantysolutions.co/acf/, by mail to P.O. Box 1047, Bedford, TX 76095, or by email to WSOPS@amyntagroup.com. If you cancel inside the free-look window written into your contract and no claim has been paid, you get a full refund. After that window closes, you get a pro-rated refund based on time or mileage used, minus a cancellation fee and any claims already paid.1Warranty Solutions. What To Have In Front of You
Pull these together before you open the form. A missing field is the most common reason a submission gets kicked back:
- Your contract number, from the original service agreement or your dealership finance paperwork. VSCs and GAP waivers have separate numbers.
- The 17-character VIN from your dashboard plate or driver-side door jamb.
- Today’s odometer reading. This number drives the refund math, so record it the day you submit.
- The name of your lienholder, if the vehicle is financed. The refund will go to them.
- Supporting documents if you’re canceling because of a sale, total loss, or repossession.
Filling Out the Form Online
The portal handles both VSC and GAP cancellations on the same page, but each product needs its own submission. Canceling the service contract does not cancel a GAP waiver, and the reverse is also true.1Warranty Solutions. Warranty Solutions Contract Cancellation Form
The sections run in this order:
- Personal information. Use the name and mailing address exactly as they appear on the original contract.
- Product type. Pick either Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) or GAP.
- Contract number and VIN for the product you’re canceling.
- Lienholder or assignee name. This field is required even on a paid-off vehicle; if there’s no lien, call Warranty Solutions at 1-800-828-1392 to confirm what to enter.
- Cancellation date and mileage. The date is the day you’re submitting. You cannot backdate it.1Warranty Solutions. Warranty Solutions Contract Cancellation Form
- Cancellation reason. Options are Unwound Deal/Sale, Vehicle Totaled, Customer Request, or Refinanced. A GAP cancellation for repossession requires a repossession letter from the lienholder.
- Document upload. Attach your bill of sale, total-loss statement, GAP waiver copy, or repossession letter here. The limit is 50 MB per file.
Before submitting, you’ll check an acknowledgment box confirming the cancellation is final, that a canceled GAP waiver cannot be reinstated, and that any refund will follow your contract’s terms. Read those lines carefully. Once the cancellation processes, coverage ends and you become responsible for any gap between an insurance payout and your loan balance if the vehicle is later totaled.1Warranty Solutions. Submitting by Mail or Email
If you’d rather not use the portal, download the PDF cancellation form from the Warranty Solutions website and send it to either:
- Mail: P.O. Box 1047, Bedford, TX 76095
- Email: WSOPS@amyntagroup.com
For a mailed form, use certified mail with return receipt requested. The return receipt gives you a signed, dated record of delivery, which is what you’ll want if a dispute later turns on when you actually submitted. Hold onto the tracking number and the green card. For email, keep the sent copy and any reply.
Your selling dealership’s finance office can also submit the request for you. That route is sometimes faster, but get written confirmation that the request was actually transmitted. A verbal promise is not a submission date.
The Free-Look Period: Your Full Refund Window
Most vehicle service contracts and GAP waivers include a free-look period at the start of the term. Cancel inside that window, with no claim paid yet, and you get back everything you paid.1Warranty Solutions. Warranty Solutions Contract Cancellation Form
The length depends on your state and your contract. Colorado, for example, gives GAP waiver buyers an unconditional 30-day cancellation right.1Warranty Solutions. Warranty Solutions Contract Cancellation Form Other states run shorter or longer. Look at the cancellation section of your actual agreement for the deadline that applies to you.
If you’re having second thoughts and you’re only a few days in, this is the time to act. Cancellation inside the free-look window skips the pro-rata formula and the cancellation fee entirely.
Pro-Rata Refund After the Free-Look Period
Cancel after the free-look window closes and the refund shrinks. Warranty Solutions uses a pro-rata method: you get back the unused portion of what you paid, minus a cancellation fee and any claims the provider has already paid on your behalf.1Warranty Solutions. The administrator calculates how much of the contract you’ve used based on elapsed time, miles driven, or both, depending on what your contract specifies. Some contracts base the refund on whichever measure produces the smaller refund. If your contract covers 60,000 miles and you’ve driven 15,000, you’ve used 25% of the mileage allotment. If the term is five years and you’re 18 months in, you’ve used 30% of the time. A contract that applies the greater of the two percentages would refund roughly 70% of the price before deductions.
Two things come off that unused amount. The cancellation fee is set by your contract and capped by state law in some jurisdictions. Any claims already paid for repairs under the contract are also subtracted. The exact formula lives in your contract’s cancellation section.
Canceling After a Sale, Trade-In, or Total Loss
The reason you choose on the form controls what you need to upload.
Sold or traded in the vehicle? Attach the bill of sale, or the dealer’s purchase agreement for a trade-in. This confirms you no longer own the car and fixes the end date for coverage.
Vehicle totaled? You’ll need documentation from your auto insurer showing the date of loss and settlement details. The Warranty Solutions GAP claim portal lists the full set for total-loss situations: the insurance settlement breakdown, the settlement check, the market valuation report, and your auto insurance policy declarations page, among others.2Warranty Solutions. GAP Claim Even for a VSC cancellation with no GAP claim involved, giving the administrator the insurer’s total-loss letter with the loss date and the mileage at the time of the incident helps them calculate the refund correctly.
One trap worth avoiding on GAP: no refund is available if a covered loss or event occurred before you submitted the cancellation. If the vehicle was totaled and you have a valid GAP claim, file the GAP claim first. Canceling the waiver before the claim processes forfeits your coverage.1Warranty Solutions. Transferring the Contract Instead
Selling the car privately? Transferring the service contract to the buyer is often a better deal than canceling. The buyer gets existing coverage without having to buy a new contract, and you may be able to ask a bit more for the car because of it.
Transfers generally need to happen within 30 to 60 days of the sale and usually carry a transfer fee. Miss that window and the contract typically can’t be transferred at all. You’ll need the original contract number, a bill of sale or title transfer, the current odometer reading, and the buyer’s contact information.
Call Warranty Solutions at 1-800-828-1392 before listing the vehicle to confirm whether your specific contract is transferable and what the fee will be. Not every contract allows a transfer, and aftermarket plans are more likely to restrict them.
Where the Refund Goes and When
If you’re still paying off the vehicle, the refund check goes to your lienholder, not to you. The service contract cost was financed with the car, so the lender has a financial interest in that money. The refund is applied to your loan principal and reduces the balance owed.
If the vehicle is paid off, the refund is mailed to the address on file. Plan for four to six weeks from the date Warranty Solutions receives the request. If nothing has arrived after 30 days, call 1-800-828-1392 with your contract number. Your certified mail receipt or email confirmation gives you a concrete submission date to reference.
If the Refund Is Wrong or Late
Most cancellations go through cleanly. When they don’t, the dispute is usually about the mileage figure used, the deducted claims amount, or the cancellation fee. Call Warranty Solutions and ask for a written breakdown of the refund calculation. Compare each line against your contract.
If that doesn’t resolve it, your state’s department of insurance is the next step. Vehicle service contracts are regulated at the state level, and the state insurance department can review the complaint against state statutes and require corrective action. Most state departments take complaints online.
Your contract may also include an arbitration clause or a dispute resolution procedure worth reading before you escalate. Small claims court is an option for refund amounts within your state’s jurisdictional limit, which is often between $5,000 and $10,000.
