How to Fill Out and Submit the Weber Warranty Claim Form

To file a Weber warranty claim, open the claim form on Weber’s consumer care portal at consumer-care.weber.com and submit your grill’s serial number, a specific description of the defect, and your shipping address.1Weber. Weber Warranty Claim Form If the failed part is still within its coverage window and the failure is a manufacturing defect rather than wear, Weber ships a replacement directly to you at no charge.

What to Have Ready Before You Start

Pulling these together first will keep your claim from stalling:

  • Your serial number, entered as two letters followed by five to seven digits with no spaces (for example, AA1234567).1Weber. Weber Warranty Claim Form
  • A precise description of what failed. “Rusted-through burner tube,” “cracked lid,” or “igniter that stopped clicking” beats “it’s broken.”
  • Your current shipping address, since replacement parts come to you directly.
  • Photos of the damaged part. They aren’t required to submit, but you can upload them after the form goes through, and clear images speed up review.
  • Your receipt. Weber uses the purchase date to confirm the part is still within its coverage window.

Where to Find Your Serial Number

The location depends on the grill. Gas and wood pellet models carry a data label with the two-letter, five-to-seven-digit code. Current charcoal grills use the same format, but the number is stamped into the damper instead of printed on a label. Older charcoal grills may show only one or two letters on the damper with no digits.2Weber. Weber Grill Serial Numbers

The Gas Go-Anywhere has no serial number at all. From the 2013 production year on, a code stamped into the burner tube identifies the year, but Weber says not to use it for registration.2Weber. Filling Out and Submitting the Form

Open the claim form on Weber’s consumer care portal.1Weber. Weber Warranty Claim Form It asks for your name, email, phone, serial number, and a description of the problem, plus a Case Type dropdown where you pick the option that matches your situation, such as replacement part or troubleshooting.

The description field is where the claim lives or dies. Skip “grill doesn’t work right.” Write something like: “left burner tube has a visible rust-through hole about two inches from the venturi end; flame shoots out the side instead of through the ports.” The more specific you are, the less back-and-forth you’ll have with a rep asking for clarification.

After you hit submit, the portal gives you a chance to upload images. Attach your photos of the damaged part and, if you can, a shot of the serial number label so the reviewer can confirm your model in one look. Weber says the team will review your case and respond; the portal doesn’t publish a turnaround time for U.S. claims.1Weber. Weber Warranty Claim Form

If you’d rather talk it through, Weber’s customer service line is staffed Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central, and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central.

Is Your Part Still Covered?

Coverage varies by grill series and by the individual component, so the same kind of part can have very different windows. The definitive terms for your grill are printed in the owner’s guide that came with it; the online warranty page reflects current models and may not match older ones exactly.4Weber Grills. Warranties

As a general shape: the cookbox and lid on most gas grill series (Spirit, Genesis, Summit) carry ten years against rust-through and burn-through, and the bowl and lid on charcoal grills, including the standard kettle, Summit Charcoal, and Smokey Mountain Cooker, get ten years for the same defects. Paint on these parts is covered separately for two years, and fading or discoloration is excluded.4Weber Grills. Warranties

Stainless steel burner tubes get ten years across the Spirit and Genesis lines.5Weber Grills. Weber’s Generous Warranty Program Just Got Better Cooking grates and Flavorizer bars are typically covered for five years on Spirit, Genesis, and Summit, though certain older lines like the Genesis II, Spirit II, and Summit gas grill series carry a blanket ten-year warranty on all parts. Ignition systems, plastic components, handles, thermometers, and similar hardware fall under a two-year warranty on most current models. The Pulse Electric Grill is an outlier with five years on everything.4Weber Grills. Warranties

What Weber Won’t Replace

Normal wear and tear is excluded across every Weber warranty. Parts that gradually degrade from repeated heating and cooling cycles don’t qualify just because they look worn, and surface rust, scratches, paint fading, and heat discoloration are treated as cosmetic.4Weber Grills. Warranties

Using aftermarket parts does not automatically void your warranty. Weber’s terms, revised under a consent order with the FTC, state that third-party parts won’t void coverage. The aftermarket parts themselves aren’t covered, though, and any damage they cause to your grill isn’t covered either. The one hard line: an unauthorized gas conversion performed by anyone other than a Weber-authorized service technician voids the warranty entirely.6Weber. Weber Warranty Addendum – FTC Consent Order

If You Bought the Grill Secondhand

Weber’s warranty is not transferable. It covers only the original purchaser, so a used grill bought from a private seller comes with no warranty, even if the coverage period hasn’t run out. Gifts are the one exception: if the grill was bought as a gift for you, coverage extends to you as the intended recipient.7Weber. Is the Warranty Transferable to Subsequent Owners?

Registering your grill puts your warranty information in your Weber account and can smooth the claims process, but it isn’t required. Federal regulations bar manufacturers from making registration a condition of honoring a full warranty, as long as you can show your purchase date through a receipt or other reasonable proof.8eCFR. 16 CFR 700.7 – Use of Warranty Registration Cards

If Your Claim Is Denied

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act sets the federal ground rules for consumer product warranties and gives you a path if you believe a manufacturer hasn’t honored its written terms. It allows for informal dispute settlement procedures regulated by the FTC under 16 CFR Part 703, and a manufacturer that builds such a mechanism into its warranty may require you to go through it before you sue.9Federal Trade Commission.
