How to Fill Out and Submit the YouFit Membership Cancellation Form

To cancel a YouFit membership, submit the YouFit membership cancellation form online at lp.youfit.com/cancel, or contact ABC Fitness Solutions (the company that handles YouFit’s billing) by phone at 888-827-9262 or email at customercare@abcfitness.com. The request takes up to 10 days to finalize, and any dues that come due during that window still have to be paid before the account closes.1YouFit Gyms. Member Policies

How To Submit the Form

All three cancellation channels route through ABC Fitness Solutions, not the front desk at your home club.

  • Online form: Go to lp.youfit.com/cancel and complete the Cancel Request form. Save or screenshot the confirmation page before you close the browser.
  • Phone: Call 888-827-9262 during business hours. Note the representative’s name and any confirmation or reference number they give you.
  • Email: Write to customercare@abcfitness.com with your full name, home club, and account number. The sent email itself is a timestamped record.

Whichever channel you pick, keep proof of the submission and its date. That timestamp is what starts the 10-day processing clock.

What You Need Before You Submit

Have these on hand so ABC Fitness can locate the account on the first try:

  • Your full legal name as it appears on the membership agreement.
  • The home club location where you originally signed up.
  • Your account or barcode number, which is in the YouFit mobile app under your profile or on your original membership agreement. If you can’t find it, a phone representative can look up the account using your name and the email address on file.
  • A current phone number and email address so ABC Fitness can send confirmation that the cancellation has been processed.

The 10-Day Processing Window

YouFit requires 10 days’ notice to process a cancellation, and any membership fees that fall due during that window are still your responsibility.2YouFit Health Clubs. How to Cancel or Freeze Your YouFit Membership If your next billing date falls inside those 10 days, expect one more charge before the account closes.

The practical move is to submit the form right after a billing cycle hits rather than right before one. That gives the clock enough room to expire before the next payment drafts, which usually saves you a final charge.

If You Just Signed Up in the Last Three Days

YouFit’s membership agreement includes a right to cancel the transaction at any time before midnight of the third business day after signing.3YouFit Gyms. Notes of the Agreement This cooling-off window applies whether you signed a month-to-month or a commitment contract. Many states have comparable consumer protection laws for health club contracts with similar three-day rescission periods.

YouFit collects first and last month’s dues plus an enrollment fee at signup.3YouFit Gyms. Notes of the Agreement Canceling inside the three-day window should entitle you to a full refund of those charges. If you’re still inside that window, act immediately rather than going through the standard 10-day process.

Freezing Instead of Canceling

If the reason you want to cancel is temporary, like travel or a short-term injury, a freeze keeps the account open without full monthly dues. YouFit offers two options:

A freeze is worth considering when you plan to be back within a few months and don’t want to pay a new enrollment fee to rejoin. If you’re sure you’re done, canceling outright is cleaner than letting a freeze expire and getting billed again at the full rate.

If Charges Keep Hitting Your Account

If YouFit or ABC Fitness continues drafting your bank account after the cancellation has been processed, federal law gives you a separate remedy. Under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, you can stop a preauthorized recurring electronic transfer by notifying your bank or credit union, orally or in writing, at least three business days before the next scheduled payment.4Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1693e – Preauthorized Transfers Your bank may ask you to confirm an oral request in writing within 14 days. The EFTA covers ACH transfers, which is how most gym billing processors pull recurring dues.5National Credit Union Administration. Electronic Fund Transfer Act Regulation E

When you contact the bank, bring your cancellation confirmation: the email reply from ABC Fitness, a screenshot of the online form confirmation, or whatever record you kept. That proof makes the stop-payment request straightforward. If a charge has already posted that shouldn’t have, ask the bank to dispute that specific transaction, and send a written complaint to YouFit’s customer service email so both sides have a record.

Why You Can’t Just Stop Paying

Walking away without formally canceling does not end the contract. The billing system keeps generating charges, and unpaid balances accumulate until someone acts. Delinquent gym accounts are routinely sent to third-party collection agencies, and once a collector takes over, the balance can be reported to the credit bureaus and sit on your credit report for years. Submitting the cancellation form through one of the three official channels, and keeping proof of the date, is the only way to close the account cleanly.
