How to Fill Out and Submit the Zara Return Request Form

The Zara return request form lives inside your Zara account and in the guest order-lookup portal linked from any Zara shipment email. To submit it, sign in or open the “Manage Your Order” link from a confirmation email, pick the items you want to send back, choose a carrier drop-off point, and confirm. A $4.95 fee is deducted from your refund for each request, and you have 30 days from the shipment date to file it.¹

Check the Deadline and Condition Rules First

The 30-day clock starts on the shipment date, not the delivery date. Your order detail page shows the exact cutoff. Miss it and the form won’t accept the items.¹

Everything you send back has to be in original condition with tags attached. Zara rejects items showing wear, washing, or missing labels. You also have to return in the same market where you bought: a U.S. order can’t go back through a European store.¹

Some categories have extra conditions the form doesn’t warn you about. Swimwear needs the hygiene strip. Fragrances, cosmetics, and HOME items must be sealed in original packaging. Accessories need their original bag or cardboard. Personalized items, men’s undergarments, magazines, and the Standard Procedure cosmetics collection can’t be returned at all. Pack items can’t be split up. Garment bags, fabric pouches, and branded boxes have to go back with the item.²

Fill Out the Form Step by Step

If you have a Zara account, log in and open the Returns section. Your past orders appear there; pick the one with the items you want to send back.¹

Guest shoppers take a different route. Open any order or shipment confirmation email from Zara, click “Manage Your Order,” then enter the order number along with the email address or phone number used at checkout.¹

Once the order is open, tick each item you want to return. You can combine items from different orders into a single return shipment by selecting them all and continuing through the same request; the form will then ask how many packages you plan to send.¹

Next the form asks how you want to send it. The standard choice is a carrier drop-off point, and you pick from locations near you. Home pickup isn’t offered for regular orders. Zara only arranges house pickups for large HOME collection items, and that goes through customer service, not the form.¹

A summary screen shows the items, the shipping method, and the $4.95 fee before you finalize. The fee is charged once per request, not per item, so bundling everything into one submission is cheaper than filing separate requests. Review and confirm.¹

What Happens After You Submit

Zara emails shipping instructions with the number of labels matching the packages you indicated. Depending on the carrier, you’ll get either a printable return label or a QR code. Print and attach the label, or bring the QR code to the drop-off point where staff will scan it.¹

Pack items securely and include any special packaging they came with. If you’re combining multiple orders into one shipment, put everything in the same box and make sure the label matches the consolidated request.

Zara processes returns within 72 hours of the package reaching their facility and sends a confirmation email once inspection is done. Multiple packages get separate confirmations and may refund at different times. The refund goes back to your original payment method, and depending on your bank it can take up to 14 days from Zara’s completion to appear.³

Skip the Form and Return In-Store

Any U.S. Zara store will take the return for free. Bring the items with either the Zara QR code from your account or confirmation email, or the receipt. This is the cheapest option if a store is convenient.¹

One case makes in-store the only option: if you placed an online order inside a Zara store and paid at the register, those items have to be returned in-store. If you paid online during that in-store order, either method works.¹

Returning a Gift

Gift returns don’t go through the standard form the same way. A gift receipt, whether presented in-store or used in an online gift return, gets you a Zara Gift Card for the item’s value, emailed if you file online. The Gift Card doesn’t expire and works online or in any U.S. store. To send the refund back to the original payment method instead, you need the original purchase receipt, not the gift receipt.⁴
